This Hallway was in need of a touch-up and this had to include storage space for shoes and some new accessories to create a more interesting entrance to the house. Two cabinets were added for adult shoe storage and for the children in this family a large basket was provided to drop their shoes in before entering the house. As this was a rental property the tenants did not want to damage the walls by drilling holes so instead we decided to put artwork on the cabinet to lean against the wall. Together with some other accessories like for example a plant and a table light this can work really well and it makes it easier to change the look if desired in the future as well. Although a hallway is very often the last priority when styling houses it is definitely worth it as it creates a welcoming entry to your home and does not need to be very complicated at all.
